Los Angeles e uma recepção Hollywoodiana

Ao chegar no ponto da Tufesa em Los Angeles, no centro da cidade, me deu um pouco de medo. Já era tarde, estava escuro, e na rua tinha algumas “figuras estranhas”. Como eu ainda não tinha habilitado meu telefone americano, pedi para eu fazer uma ligação à mulher do guichê. Consegui entrar em contato com o Ilian, meu host do Couch Surfing, e nos encontramos.

Estava um pouco cansada, então não espera que já fosse de cara para... Hollywood! Estacionamos o carro e fomos andando. Quando percebi, estávamos saindo de dentro do Teatro Dolby! Para que não sabe, desde de 2001, é nesse teatro acontece a premiação do Oscar. Na saída do Teatro já estávamos na rua da tão falada Calçada da Fama.

Fomos comer algo e depois seguimos para a casa dele, que ficava em Northridge. Como o próprio nome diz, essa parte dessa graaande cidade fica ao Norte, e é bastante residencial. Aí era só descansar para os próximos dias!

LA and a Hollywood reception!

Arriving in Tufesa bus stop, in Los Angeles downtown, I was a little bit scared. It was already late and dark, on the street some “strange people”. I didn’t have my cell phone available so I asked the girl in the counter to use the phone. I contacted Ilian, my Couch Surfing host and we met.

I was tired, so I was not expecting to go to… Hollywood! We parked the car and walked. When I noticed, we were going out the Dolby Theatre. For those who don’t know, it hosts the Academy Awards (the Oscar). Going out the Theatre we were already in the street of the renowned Walk of Fame.

We left to some restaurant and after to his house, in Northridge. As its name, it is in the north part of the biiig LA, and it’s more residential. So it was just rest for the next days!
