Trivandrum, Kerala: Será que eu chego?

[English version below]

O azar durou pouco.
A van apertada.

Trivandrum, Kerala: Will I get there?

I waited at the bus stop to take the van to go to the main bus stand. Bangalore has a chaotic traffic and not only for the same reasons that all over India. The city is passing through an enormous growth process in recent years, and it's all in the works. This includes the expansion of the metro system - that is new and fantastic. For this reason, when I got the van to go to the main bus stop, we faced a big traffic, and it took about 1 hour to arrive – and we even left the city. The van was tiny and looked like the clown car: squeeze that fits more people and luggage!
I got into the bus with one destination: Kerala. My seat was the last in the back of the bus, so the seat is not a reclining one. The bad luck was for a short time. A gentleman called me to sit in the front part in a “ladies it”. I sat next to a smiling Indian and decided to sleep. And who said the chair reclined? It was stuck! Hahahahah Sleep was almost impossible mission. Tv on the bus passing a bollywood movie, those good romantic comedy that forgot the comedy somewhere. The detail was that the film was - what I believe to be - in Hindi, ie I could not understand anything.
Just outside Bangalore, the driver hit a motorcyclist who was on the road. The guy was not hurt, but began to yell at the driver, who stopped the bus and quarreled for about 40 minutes. The guy did not want to leave our bus and then I did not understand anything. They were probably talking in Kannada, the language of Karnataka. I was a little scared, but wanted just to sleep while it was not resolved. Suddenly the driver closed the door on the motorcyclist and left. Not happy, the guy followed us until the bus stopped in traffic and there was another dilemma: that bla bla bla to solve the problem. The bus went to a police station where the girl next to me explained what was happening.
Another hour and the driver changed. This time we were traveling peacefully. Or not! The movie's sound was loud in the ears, I could not relax. Everything in India is very loud. When the movie ended I was very happy, and the driver helper... put the film again!! Several hours after, the movie ended and everyone slept. But it is very strange sleep that way. In India the driven is on the right side and headlights of other cars come from the other direction, which my brain could not assimilate very well and I took fright all the time.
Passeata do partido comunista ao chegar
na capital de Kerala, Trivandrum.
It is easy to recognize that you are in Kerala. Some people say the name of the state means land of coconuts, and the road is taken by them. A beautiful work of nature! So look out the window and see that geography has changed made me feel more peaceful. We were coming!
Arriving in the capital, the driver almost hits a pedestrian. It was not lucky day! And to complete, almost reaching the final bus stop, was going on a march of the Communist Party - which governs the state.
Seven hours late, I arrived. I needed to call the person who would host me, but in India there are limited public telephones. Then, with the help of a very nice guy who lent me his phone, I could connect to my host. It was just get - and negotiate! - The auto rickshaw and soon arrive at his house!
