É Cartagena mais uma vez, minha gente!

Enfim meu grande amigo Armandinho chegou na Colômbia para me visitar. E para aproveitar bem o tempo que ele esteve aqui, planejamos um final de semana em Cartagena. Esse é o tipo de cidade que, sinceramente, eu não canso de visitar. Foi muito bom fazer algumas coisas repetidas e outras diferentes das que eu fiz quando fui com a minha prima Izabella. Além disso, nada como voltar pra o mar, depois de três meses de montanha.

Cheguei igual uma criança feliz. Era final de tarde e o por do sol de Cartagena é fantástico. Pegamos um taxi no habitual pré pago (na saída do desembarque) rumo à cidade amuralhada para o albergue El Viajero (custa em torno de 10 mil pesos).

Deixamos nossas malinhas e saímos para a Praça de La Santísima Trinidad para tomar uma cerveja. Essa praça fica em Getsemani, um dos bairros mais antigos de Cartagena, que fica fora da cidade amulharada. Cheio de vida, arte de rua, viajantes e lugares com comidinhas ótimas, tomamos a nossa querida cerveja Águila por apenas 3 mil pesinhos a garrafa grande (750ml). Sem dúvida, o melhor preço da região!

Na volta para o albergue compramos no Éxito (supermercado que tem em toda Colômbia) rum, limão, gelo e açúcar, para fazer a versão costeña da caipirinha brasileira: caipirum. Desde a outra vez que eu fui a Cartagena com a minha prima já havia testado a confecção de tal especiaria... E deu certo!

Cartagena again and again!

So, one of my best friends finally arrived in Colômbia to visit me. To enjoy his time here, we did a plan to go to Cartagena in a weekend. This is the kind of city which I, sincerely, never get tired of. It was good to do some new stuff and repeat part of the things I did when I was there with my cousin Izabella. Besides that, there is nothing like going back to the sea, after three months of mountain.

I got there really happy. The sun was going down and sunset in Cartagena is simply amazing. We took a prepaid cab in the airport (right after the arrivals gate) to the walled city to the hostel “El Viajero” (around 10,000 COP).

After drop our stuff in the hostel, we left to La Santísima Trinidad square to have a beer. It is located in GEtsemani, one of the oldest neighborhood in Cartagena, away from the walls. This is a full of life, travelers, street art place and nice food. Over there you can find the cheapest beer of Cartagena, 3,000 COP the big Águila (750ml), so we did it.

On the way back, we stoped in Éxito (a supermarket you can find all over Colombia) to buy rum, lemon, ice and sugar to do a Costeña version of Brazilian caipirinha: caipirum. Since the last time in Cartagena I had tested how to make it… and it worked!
