De busão: Barranquilla x Medellín

Eu e Carol tínhamos um voo comprado para sair de Barranquilla para Medellín às 11 da noite. Para garantir que chegaríamos a tempo, saímos do Tayrona de tarde, passamos no hostel e logo seguimos para o terminal de ônibus de Santa Marta. O que a gente não esperava era que a suposta viagem de 2 horas demoraria... 6! Isso mesmo, no meio do caminho havia um protesto que fechou as cancelas de um dos pedágios e ali ficamos por horas.

Quando chegamos em Barranquilla era tarde de mais, e por isso tivemos que buscar um hostel para ficar aquela noite e seguir no dia seguinte de ônibus. Afinal, qualquer voo de última hora sairia super caro. Fomos parar no The Meeting Point Hostel, que nos atendeu muito bem, fica bem localizado e ajudou no que foi possível com relação ao pé da Carol. Como ficamos pouco tempo não deu pra ver muito da cidade.

No dia seguinte partimos para a rodoviária, e seguimos para uma viagem de cerca de 12 horas até Medellín. A passagem não era cara, cerca de 120 reais. O tenso era o motorista falando no telefone e dirigindo ao mesmo tempo! Ainda assim, deu pra comermos uma arepa no meio do caminho e chegarmos vivas!

By bus: Barraquilla x Medellín

Carol and I had a flight out of Barranquilla to Medellin at 11pm. To ensure we would arrive in time, we left Tayrona in the afternoon, passed at the hostel and then left to the Santa Marta bus terminal. What we did not expect was that the travel that should take two hours actually took… 6! On the way there was a protest that shut the gates of one of tolls and there we stayed for hours.

When we arrived in Barranquilla it was too late, so we had to get a hostel to stay the night and then the next day by bus. All last minute flights were super expensive. We ended up at The Meeting Point Hostel, which served us very well, is well located and helped in everything related to Carol’s fracture. As we didn’t stay too long, it wasn’t possible to see much of the city.

The next day we went to the bus station, and went for a trip of about 12 hours to Medellin. The passage was not expensive, about 50 dollars. The bad part was the driver talking on the phone and driving at the same time! Still, we ate arepa along the way and arrive alive!
