Descobrindo Guayaquil

Guayaquil não é mesmo a cidade mais turística ou atrativa do Equador, mas uma boa companhia faz as coisas mudarem. Aproveitando o meu único dia nessa cidade antes de ir para Montañita, eu e Jessi percorremos alguns cantos turísticos.

O Malecón 2000 fica na beira do Rio Guayas e é um projeto de renovação urbana. Perto desse lugar está o famoso Cerro Santa Ana. São 444 degraus até o topo, e ao longo do caminho existem vários bares e restaurantes. Entre uma cerveja e outra, subimos todos os degraus. Recomendo que subam cedo porque Guayaquil é muito quente. Ainda assim, lá em cima a vista da cidade é bem privilegiada, assim como do Rio Guayas e rende muitas boas fotos.

Depois dessa pequena visita à Guayaquil, parti para Montañita, saindo do Terminal de ônibus. A passagem foi um pouco mais de 5 dólares e 3 horas depois já estava na cidadezinha que ia ser minha casa pelas semanas seguintes.

Discovering Guayaquil

Guayaquil is not the most attractive touristic city in Ecuador, but a good company makes things change. As I had one day in that city before going to Montañita, Jessi took me to visit some tourist spots.

The Malecon 2000 is on the edge of the Guayas River and is an urban renewal project. Near this place is the famous Cerro Santa Ana. There are 444 steps to the top, and along the way there are several bars and restaurants. Between a beer and another, we went up all the steps. I recommend that you come up early in the morning because Guayaquil is very hot. Still, up there the view of the city is very privileged, as well as the Guayas River and you can take a lot of good pictures.

After this short visit to Guayaquil, I left to Montañita, from the bus terminal. The ticket was a little more than 5 dollars and three hours later I was in the town that was going to be my home for the next few weeks.
