Techo Panamá

Quando doei sangue no tempo em que eu vivi no Egito, me prometi que sempre faria algo pelos países que me acolhessem. Fico feliz de ter conseguido alcançar o meu objetivo e continuar seguindo a promessa. Afinal, são pequenas ações que se transformam em agradecimento concreto.

Assim, segui mais uma vez para uma construção massiva da ONG Techo, dessa vez no Panamá. Como já relatei em diversas publicações do tempo emque estive na Colômbia, o Techo é uma organização que nasceu no Chile, e tem como objetivo o fim da pobreza extrema através da construção de vivendas de emergência e atuação dentro dos assentamento para que a comunidade possa alcançar a luta pelos seus diretos e a auto gestão.

No Panamá a equipe é muito bonita e o trabalho realizado se concentra em 4 comunidades, com grande parte indígena. O balanço dos 3 dias de construção para essa família foi extremamente positivo, me despertando para um outro lado do Panamá, e me colocando em uma realidade que fica longe dos altos edifícios da Cinta Costera. Difícil não se emocionar no momento de entregar mais uma casa a mais uma família. Casa essa, em que hoje, já podem sonhar um pouquinho mais alto.

Techo Panama

When I donatedblood at the time I was living in Egypt, I promised that I would always do something for countries that I live. I'm glad to have been able to reach my goal and continue to follow the promise. After all, these are small actions that change to concrete gratitude.

So, I went again to a massive construction of the NGO Techo, this time in Panama. As I already wrote in several publications when I was in Colombia, Techo is an organization that was created in Chile, and aims the end the extreme poverty by building emergency houses and acting within the several settlements so the community can reach the struggle for their rights and the self-management.

In Panama the staff is very nice and the work is focused on four communities with large indigenous percentage. The balance of the three days of construction for this family was extremely positive, taking me to another side of Panama, and putting me in a reality that is far from the high buildings of the “Cinta Costera”. It’s hard to not be thrilled at the time of giving the house to another family: this house, where today they can dream a little bigger.
